He has released two well-received solo albums and fulfilled his dream by forming a band with the guitar icon Marc Ribot. Early Life Forms is touring as a quartet, featuring not only Pauwels but also guitarist Frederik Leroux. Leroux is well-known as a member of Flat Earth Society and for his work with the Aspen Edities record label. Laurens Dierickx's Hammond organ fills in the role of bass, creating a satisfying rolling sound. Casper Van De Velde, known for his work with schntzl, Bombataz, and as a recent solo artist under the name Simba, adds his playful drumming to complete this imaginative band.
