De Filmclub (8+)
Settle into our cosy beanbags and immerse yourself in cinema. After the film, we will organise a fun activity in the theme of the film. This way, we practise words we have just learnt. This is not school: we have fun by doing crafts, playing sports, games, or even cooking. Every month we choose a different film. This month: The Song of the Sea!

The Song of the Sea is a modern folkloric fairy tale with Celtic influences from the creators of The Secret of Kells. This wonderfully animated film is above all a visual treat with its own unique style and atmosphere. Each drawing is a magnificent discovery, as if leafing through an ornate Celtic-cubic picture book.
This film was the opening film at the 2015 Youth Film Festival. It also received an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Film 2015.
Practical info
The Filmclub is for children aged 8 and up who can already understand and speak a little Dutch. Are you (much) older? Then contact us for more info: eef.segers@derand.be or +32 478 52 54 28.
The film starts at 10.30 am. Sometimes the film lasts longer, sometimes shorter. We try to stop for lunch (1pm).
First we watch the film. The film is followed by a workshop or game for children. Adults can then have 1 free drink (worth €3) in The Foyer.
