Settle down into our cosy beanbags to enjoy a spot of cinema. The film is followed by a fun activity based on the film's theme, so we can practise words we have just learned. Rather than learning in a classroom-style setting we have fun making things, playing sports, games, or even doing some cooking. A new film is chosen every month. This month's offering is ‘Earth: een onvergetelijke dag’!

‘Earth: een onvergetelijke dag’ (‘Earth: One amazing day’) follows the sun's journey for 24 hours, exerting its remarkable power on the lives of all creatures on the magnificent planet we call home. This influence extends to the most well-known inhabitants of the Earth: human beings. The directors embark on a journey across continents, through oceans, and into the skies.
Practical information
- Film: Flemish version. Subtitles: Dutch.
- The Filmclub is for children aged 6 and over who understand Dutch quite well, and for those aged 8 and over who primarily wish to practice the language. Unsure? Contact us for further details: eef.segers@derand.be or +32 478 52 54 28.
- The film begins at 10.30 a.m. The length of the film may vary but we always finish by 1 p.m. at the latest.
- The film will be followed by a workshop or game for children. Adults will then be able to enjoy a free drink (worth up to €3) in the Foyer.
- Charge: €3 (children: film and workshop) – €3 (adults: film and coffee or tea)
- Note: This activity coincides with the theatre performance ‘Dirt (2+)’. Ideal for families with children of different ages! The theatre performance is in the Great Hall, the Film Club in the Shed. Ideally, you should split up as a family and all children should be accompanied by an adult. If this is not possible, older children may go to the Film Club alone. Younger children are required to be accompanied by an adult in ‘Dirt’.
